Google launches earthquake detecting system for android users

Android Users in California can send alerts powered by ShakeAlert which will give you seconds to drop, cover and hold on because California has an extensive seismometer in place. However, this alerts systems will continually spread to cover other locations in the coming years.
On Tuesday 11th August, Google launched an earthquake detecting system for all android users around the world. This alert system will turn all android phone into a seismometer which will detect incoming earthquakes.
According to Google, android phones will now be able to detect incoming quakes and then send signals to a data center where signals will be analyzed and then alerts will be sent to users in that location.
